We are honored to serve this engaged and empowered community of learners, and we are delighted that you are interested in learning more about Arthur A. Benjamin Health Professions High School and the extraordinary opportunities we offer our students.
Our educators are dedicated to educating minds and cultivating the hearts of our students, and we do so in a diverse community of students, exemplary faculty, and dedicated staff. It is our expectation that Arthur A. Benjamin Health Professions High School graduates will be well-prepared to succeed in a broad range of post-secondary academic and professional pursuits due to exceptional skills in critical thinking, communication, and cultural competency. Over time, AABHPHS graduates will help to increase the diversity of health care leadership in the greater Sacramento region and thereby improve health outcomes for multiple underrepresented communities

Industry Certifications

In addition to a rigorous 4-Year Patient Care Pathway, students will participate in work-based learning in the healthcare field, hospital-based job shadowing, complete internships and have the opportunity to enroll in college classes while in high school and earn the following industry certifications:
- Basic Life Support, Adult and Pediatric CPR
- Medical Assisting
- Public Safety First Aid Certification
- Stop the Bleed
- Mental Health First Aid
Basic Life Support
Basic Life Support (BLS) is geared towards prehospital providers, like EMTs, paramedics, fire fighters, and in-facility hospital providers. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.The BLS Instructor-led course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics. Our students will earn this certificate Junior year by our Medical Science department and the American Heart Association.
