After School Program

Here at Health Professions, we encourage students to try and explore new things everyday. The HAWK After-School Program creates a safe space for students to participate in various activities before and after school. Before school, we work closely with teachers and staff to create classes relevant to student needs such as Bloom Leadership.

After school, we provide academic support in the form of study hall where mentors assist each student with their work for the day. In 2025-2026 we will be offering after school college support classes on Monday and Tuesday for all students who are dually-enrolled in college classes.

The After-School Program also runs all the sports programs throughout the year (Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball) so expect to see us after-school if that interests you! Outside of academics and sports, we also offer enrichment activities including a variety of student-run clubs and Healthcare Leadership opportunities such as FACES-for-the-Future and a UC Merced Community Healthworker Certification class.

Please contact LaCherryal Veal, the Program Manager, with any questions, comments, or concerns you may have at LaCherryl-Veal@scusd.edu or call 916-395-5010 ext 501027. Also feel free to check out the schedule!

Hope to see you soon!
